I had a dream. I started a coquito business. It was successful! Bringing in HUGE bucks. And SOMEONE caught wind of it. And decided that he was going to take it over. Because he can. This is my answer.

There are many coquito creation stories
Here’s one
Back in 1898
Puerto Rico became a territory
Of the US of A
It was said that US soldiers
Shared a milky drink with eggs and rum.
Upon tasting it, the islanders said,
“Ay Dios mio! Que es eso?! No, no, NO!”
The Puerto Ricans reinvented it
With local ingredients:
Cream of coconut, coconut milk,
Condensed milk, cinnamon,
And some of the best rum in the world.
Coquito was born!
As with all myths there are disagreements:
No eggs vs. eggs
Nutmeg vs. cinnamon
Cooking vs. blending
Independent vs. colo-mmonweath
51st vs. sovereign free associated state
But I implore you, my compays
Let us not fall into despair!
There are many that would like to
Capitalize on our special elixir
